About Ron Frazier
My name is Ron Frazier. I live in the South Eastern USA. I've been enjoying casual digital photography since 3 MP cameras were a thing. Only much more recently have I gotten my hands on a Canon camera with 16 MP and a couple of Canon cameras with 24 MP. This gives me lots more flexibility to create high resolution images. In the case of Fine Art America, it gives me flexibility to put the images on more products. I like photographing nature when I get the chance as well as man made objects that catch my eye. I like to look for unique colors and patterns and points of view. I'm not opposed to staging a picture if I have to, but try to find things that look cool as is. Where possible, I like to make the picture usable in it's raw unedited state. While researching how to get a vintage 35mm film camera working that my wife bought, and researching printing images at large sizes, I found out that medium format film has lots more detail than the APS-C sensors in my 24 MP digital cameras. I also discovered that medium format digital cameras cost about 10X the cost of basic medium format film cameras. So, while I haven't shot film in decades, I may look into it again. Of course, with film and developing costing $1 - $3 / print, I couldn't be nearly as carefree about snapping the shutter as I can with the digital cameras.
